The Client Support Technician at Technology Services provides installations, modifications, maintenance, and troubleshooting on hardware and software for desktop/laptop systems, printers, and network equipment. This position will provide technical assistance, training to staff and client, and documentation support for various departments.
Manage anti-virus/anti-malware protection via McAfee EPO management.
Manage Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) access control.
Ensure endpoint system vulnerabilities are patched in timely manner.
Implement laptop encryption and manage secure disposal.
Access switches configuration, deployment and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot and repair computer, hardware and software issues.
Document all issues reported to IT Help Desk system.
Minor repair network equipment such as printers, switches, hubs.
Know how to pull, terminate, and troubleshoot Ethernet cables.
Manage equipment inventory and licensing audit.
Provide customer service to staff and clients.
Provide support for all software.
Perform hardware and software rollouts.
Handle all special events requiring internet networking wired and wireless set up.
Ensure all issues resolve within a period of time.
Assist other team members with projects.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience with various OS (MS Windows, MAC and Linux).
Experience with Productivity applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project).
Experience and knowledge on internet/network concepts, protocols and applications on LAN, WLAN and WAN (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Email, VoIP, Firewall, Routing, Switching, VLAN.
Experience with various network security systems related to endpoint (anti-virus/malware protection, network access/authentication control, software/security patch, secure system encryption/disposal).
Must be able to perform light lifting, approximately 25 pounds.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
