IT Manager, Business Applications?We are looking for an accomplished, dynamic IT Manager of Business Applications to join our organization. The Manager of Business Applications?will report to the Director, Business Application Delivery and is responsible for providing technical and managerial support, maintenance, enhancement, and quality assurance for business applications. The position is responsible for meeting and improving the business application needs by delivering technology solutions and services in support of the overall IT strategic technology plan.??Qualifications:?Bachelors or Master?s degree in one of the following subject areas: Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems/Technology or related field preferred.10-12 yearsof IT and business/industry work experience.10 years in application development and support of custom systems and package software.8 years in a manager or similar role managing a staff of 5 or more at a variety of levels.10 years working with Microsoft development platform and technologies (VB6, .net, SQL server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, SharePoint, Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.)Comprehend different programming language and has the ability to solve problems in coding, testing, and deployment.Experience managing and directing a team of developers, and analysts for custom applications and package systems using SDLC methodology to achieve high quality results.Demonstrated success leading small, medium, and large scale projects through the software development life cycle.Experience with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.Expert in handling the most complex of technical development concepts, the latest software tools and technologies, strong database concepts, and designing techniques.Proficient in troubleshooting, software development processes, and have the ability to understand and implement client requirements.Possesses strong knowledge of different software systems, solution architecture, and various compatibility and system integration requirements.Experience with and knowledge of IT activities associated with one or more of the following environments: Application Service Provider (ASP), Managed Services Providers (MSP), Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, and custom developed applications.Knowledge of Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) framework and concepts??Your responsibilities would include:?Collaborating with business unit management, business technologists, the various IT functional areas, outside consultants, and vendors to ensure delivery of on time, on schedule, and quality technical solution to business.Ensuring that team follows the correct procedures, policies and documentation requirements across project phases.Guiding the team through the development, testing, and implementation stages and review the completed work effectively.Make quick decisions and solve technical problems to provide an efficient environment for project implementation.Provide technical training to teams when required and serve as a technical mentor to team members.Oversees planning and forecasting of application service consumption, quality of service, and customer satisfaction.Project scheduling and resource management.Make presentations on project status, present monthly and annual reports to senior management.Establish and manage the delivery of systems in compliance with the application delivery service level agreements.Apply formalized development methodology (SDLC) including design, development, testing, implementation, etc.Align with the IT leadership team (Operations, Security, PMO, Strategy and Architecture, CIO) to help achieve a state-of-the-art IT environment that meets current and future business objectives.Work with vendors in evaluating and implementing new technologies.Work to ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, etc.) in all aspects of data utilization and information access and protection.??About Us?Located in Studio City, CA, the Motion Picture Industry Pension and Health Plans (MPI) are multi-employer trust funds established by collective bargaining agreements between various employers and over 40 Unions and Guilds representing employees in the motion picture industry.?Recognized as an Employer of Choice for our employee-focused work environment, competitive compensation and benefits, MPI received the World at Work 2017 Seal of Distinction.MPI offers free employee health, dental, vision and life insurance ($50/month for family coverage), retirement and pension, and generous paid time off.?Visit us at www.mpiphp.org?Equal Opportunity Employer? The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
